About The MCAT DVD Course

The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is the most important exam for any premedical student. Since the exam is the only standardized portion of a premed’s application, it serves as a significant factor for evaluation by admissions committee members. Students need to set aside and dedicate an appropriate amount of study time to assure a successful score on the exam. Until recently, only two effective options existed; students could enroll in very expensive classroom prep-courses or they could independently purchase prep-books and self-study. There is no question, that there are pros and cons to both of these methods, but what if you could get rid of the cons and merge the pros?

In 2008 Health Care for Tomorrow Inc created The Scholar Review MCAT preparation. This full DVD classroom course allows you to bring the lectures into your home and study at your own pace. We have spent years with MCAT experts designing a course that will help teach students how to decipher traps and feel confident with all the tested material. Our experts follow changes made by the exam each year and create new lectures to assure that students always have the most up-to date information covered by the MCAT. We have compared review books from some top test-prep companies only to find that the 1999 edition is almost identical to the 2009 edition. It is no wonder why students feel the actual exam is harder than what they reviewed. Unfortunately, many students review for an older version of the MCAT, unaware that it has changed three times since the material was written.

So what makes The Scholar Review so effective in helping students achieve a competitive score on the MCAT? We are not the first company to produce instructional MCAT videos, but we are the first to cover all of the current material tested and more importantly at the level of difficulty tested by the real MCAT. With The Scholar Review, you will NOT find simplistic, watered down science reviews with little insider help on the MCAT traps. What you will find is a true MCAT classroom course that is designed to teach you not only the material you need to know, but also how to apply that information and how to avoid common traps.

There are many factors that lead to a great score on the MCAT. No company can guarantee you a specific score because every student is independent. Some students may have a stronger science background, some may spend more time studying; there are simply too many variables. The truth about doing well on this exam comes down to two things, having a strong understanding of the material and doing as many practice problems as humanly possible. We at the Scholar Review do not make you promises we cannot keep, instead we show you our results. Every year we hold an open poll for students to input their MCAT score after using our materials. We then close the poll in September and let the world know how effective our products are. Keep in mind, however, that many students use our videos in conjunction with numerous other sources, so the data is not completely reflective of using our videos alone. We only tell you this because we believe in transparency and truly care about your success in accomplishing your goals.
